Goodbye 2011, Welcome 2012
It is almost time to welcome a brand new year, 2012. Before that, let us look back at some of the highlights from 2011.
PRPASS (Puerto Rico Professional Association for SQL Server)
The PRPASS community outreach experienced some growth in membership, speakers and meetings compered to 2010. There is still a lot of work in our hand because the plans for 2012 are enormous. We needed a stronger organization to accomplish these plans, and by the end of the year, the first Board of Director was established and I am honored to be selected. The complete list of members is here.
PASS Summit 2011
I had the opportunity to attend to this year PASS Summit in Seattle. This event is the biggest technical conference for SQL Server and BI professionals. The community presents this event and it is a great place to do networking, meet fellow SQL Server professionals and to get top-notch training. If you have the chance to attend, do not miss it. Registration for the 2012 event is open. Check the event here.
The Blog (You are on it right now)
I was planning the launch of this blog since the beginning of the year but there was always something blocking it. Finally, in August, my initial message was on the web. I have to confess that this is more difficult than I expected but it is something that I enjoy. I will work on my posts frequency and content since day one.
SQL Saturday 106
This is going to be the biggest event of the SQL Server community in Puerto Rico in 2012. It is the first time that an event of this magnitude is taking place here. We are planning to have a huge event and your participation and sponsorship is needed to make it happen. For full information on the event, sessions, registration visit our event home.
Stay tune and Happy new year!!!
